DW and I are looking at a 2012 Wildwood X-Lite 28BH backpack edition. This unit has standard kitchen (w/oven), a slide (not a super slide), 27in flat screen/DVD, 13.5 non-central air, non-ducted furnace, outside speakers, 16 foot awning.

This is what we have worked out so far.

MSRP is $21,046

We have dealer talked down to $14,500
$500 WDH/Sway bar

Total $15,000

This is our first new TT purchase and want to make sure we are getting a good deal.

Sounds decent to me, The "Gotta have it" always plays a part in the deal. Is it what you really want that is another factor? This is another factor.

I just bought a 2008 wildwood for a similar price spread like you are getting from NADA value to what I paid. I am very happy with it. Our deal was finding a decent bathroom, the one we settled on had the best set up we have seen after looking at literally hundreds.

We love the layout of this unit. This unit has two entry points, and with 3 boys, the back entry to the wash room is huge selling point for us. We also like the 2012 Cherokee Grey Wolf 28Bh with the super slide but feel the X-Lite's entry to wash room is ideal.

Look you did great. If your put too much thought into what you might have left on the table, your buyers remorse will offset your enjoyment. Excellent deal in my opinion. Don't second guess yourself, go have fun!

If it's what you are willing to pay for it, who cares what other's think? Just like Artemus said.. Don't worry about it.. Buy it, pack it up and enjoy! That's the reason you wanted an RV in the first place, right?

Enjoy!

Mitch

Non-ducted furnace and AC may be unpleasant in a TT that size. The AC in particular for Iowa. The floorplan is similar to mine which we love.

The price seems fair. For the hitch, I highly recommend asking the dealer for Equal-i-zer brand 4-pt or Reese Strait Line which are WD with integrated sway. Not every dealer sells both brands, but for about the same price, maybe $100 more, you get a much better performing hitch. 1000 pound tongue weight rating would be good.
