I tried the ME when they first came out and it just crumbled in my hand. Ain't tried them since.

I use them all the time in our shower. I just don't rub that hard. No need to since the new bathroom ones have cleaner built in that removes soap scum so you don't have to scrub so hard. On the bottom where it's slip resistant I scrub harder to remove the scum and stains. My shower is shiny clean. I don't use it on the fixtures since they are brushed and the directions say not to use them on that.

I use them on everything, never had a problem. Especially good on exterior siding and seals.

I use them all the time, however.... Our sink and tub surround is/was high gloss. The eraser dulled them. Be careful, on the right surface they are great.

DH used a magic eraser on his boat and was NOT Happy. I took off the dirt, but also put fine scratches in the finish.

I just used the product called LA's Totally Awesome from the Dollar General store. I used it for the black streaks on our trailer too. It is incredible how well it works. You can pretty much assume you will need to wax the exterior after you use it though.

Magic are definitely magic scum erasers on my home fiberglass shower. Haven't tried in yet in my new TT shower.

Defintely DO NOT use it on the TT exterior. I thought I was being so smart to use one to spot clean little tree sap stains on our previous trailer's dulled fiberglass finish. I did more harm than good. It looked terrible from the right angle and those things were banned by my husband from anywhere near the new TT.
