What a POC. Hope Government Motors can fix these troubled trucks

Any other million mile DMAX's out there? I've never heard of one till now. Seems most hot shot drivers didn't use them for years cause of the lighter ratings. Nice to at least "hear" of one.

Impressive. So Dodge can do it and GM can do it ......... I wonder if there will ever be a Ford that does it? Not sure what impresses me more - that someone can sit in the same truck for 1,000,000 miles or that the truck will last that long. I'm planning on replacing mine by the time it hits 50,000 miles.

It would take me about 100 years to drive 1,000,000 miles.

Hard to believe he put that many miles in that period of time.

If it is true that is impressive.

Well I guess GM just builds their Duramax diesel trucks to last a million miles...before their planned obsolescence sets in !!

Ok everyone let's get a reality check going here. No supporting documents, or proof, just words. A paragraph with nothing to support the claim. What work has been done on truck etc., the light harded statement taken by itself sounded questionable to me! Call me a skeptic! Below this guy indicated he spent $67,000 to do it!

Quoting the unimpeachable news source, NBC , "So after four short years, Betsy hit the 999,999 mark last weekend and even though Marsella still turns between 7,000 and 10,000 miles a week, the odometer stopped."

Lets see, he claims 7 to 10,ooo miles a week, divided by 40 hours a week, that 175 to 250 miles per hour in a fuurd f250 while towing. Pretty impressive.

Can't anybody do basic math?

Even with a co-driver pushing 80 hours a week, its still 88 to 125mph - its a bald faced lie.

Should I have quoted FOX? Wow week only has 40 hours, thats bankers hours where I come from. Pretty firm words..must have hit a nerve, calling it Fuurd? ! Sorry!! Just friendly posting here! Exaggeration perhaps... Worth getting upset? Not really ....

That 03 DMAx would have had to average over 300 miles a day? That is all 365 of them for 9 years.

Most truckers average 50 to 55mph with fuel stops, lunch, dinner, maint. etc. There IS a problem with the math, sorry. I just dislike a news agency reporting "facts" that they don't validate with your average 5th grader.

I have no idea how he rigged the odometer but he had to average 20,000 miles a month - you can't do that, and the dumb-dumb at NBC just never fact checked the story. NBC is particularly noted for such glaring errors. Facts are hard cold things, just like math - its right or its not. This story is not.

As for fuurd, THEY hit my nerve with a 2009 piece of garbage that lived in the shop more than on the road and after two years of messing with them trying to fix the thing, I bought a real truck that is 100% trouble free. I lost $30,000 on the furrd but I figure I will sleep better with my Ram in the drive. After 40 years of driving furrds, 14 new ones, I'll never own another one and neither will any of my family.
