Looks like a younger brother of my truck. Except mine has a bigger butt! Good looking rig!

Just a follow up. We went camping last weekend at a campground 70 miles from home and what a ride! This truck has more power than any truck I have ever owned and the fuel mileage is great. We are leaving next week for a week in Virginia which should be about 800 miles round trip. I am looking forward to the trip.

So far every thing is working out. The truck is higher than my 2005 F250 and makes it difficult for me putting things in the bed. At 71 years old I am not going to grow any taller so a step ladder has become part of the gear I take along.

I live in the deep South and yesterday I was looking at a new Ford diesel powered F350 with four wheel drive. I really wanted a two wheel drive because it is lower to the ground and I believe hitching to the 5th wheel will be a lot less trouble. Also the added height to the truck will cause the hitch to have to be lowered and I am concerned about the distance between the bed rails and the camper. We don;t have that much bad weather with snow and ice and I don't camp where I have to go through mud or sand so I just can't justify the added expense of the 4X4. However the dealer made me such a good deal on the unit he has in stock it is hard to turn down.

I have looked at other dealers in the area and he is by far the best on price I have seen by a long ways. For those of you who have four wheel drive do you find hooking up to be a problem sometime by not being able to raise the camper high enough to hitched up?

Not that difficult or costly to lower it. Not as simple as ordering a kit of some sort, but that shouldn't stop you. And it won't affect the warranty on the engine and stuff, either.

I use 4x4 year round. One advantage the 4x4 has is the low range. Its not a big deal but when backing a trailer up on blocks with my Ford I can put the truck in 4 low and take my foot off the brake and it will push the trailer up onto blocks without hardly touching the throttle.

Thanks, that is a good tip.

I bought 4x2 this time around, I RV and boat, and still keep on trucking. You get stuck with a 2wd, you get pulled out rather easily. If it's 4x4 and your stuck, your probably in trouble. If you know your vehicle capability's, you shouldn't get stuck.

The wife loves the truck and has taken it this morning shopping for plants and trees for the yard. The long bed makes it hard to park, but with careful selection you can find a place it will fit. Our first long trip is coming up next week when we go to Virginia.

This was taken on our first trip. We went to Modoc campground in South Carolina last week and really enjoyed it. This truck has so much power it is hard to imagine wanting anything different.

Hey just think, when you are sitting at a light and look down at the kiddies in the car next to you, you can actually scare them now when you get a wry old smile and start going "he he he" sittin in that big ole truck.
