Well, I only did it 'cuz I put in a new water pump and had to check it out! So far no leaks and the system's holding pressure. I can drain it again if need be. It sure has been nice weather to get going on needed repairs.

We are in southwest Ohio. Officially starting our 2012 camping season this weekend WOO HOO!!!! Green beer, and all things Irish
Like Skipnchar said we can always re-winterize if we HAVE to. This is the reason I have this nice house on wheels so that I can enjoy it in all kinds of weather.

We have had snow storms here in mid-April. This weather for the past 9 months has been so crazy that I am not taking any chances. It was near 70 two days ago and tonight it is in the low 40's. We had planned a trip for the first week in April and then decided to wait into the middle of the month just to make sure.

Our weatherman is showing 60 for lows and upper 70's for the next week. BUT tonight he hedged his bet by saying don't put the winter coats up yet as something's brewing for the future.
All the record highs that were breaking were set back in 77. Let's see now it was Feb 78 we had a blizard. Have to wait until fall and consult with the wolly worms.

We de-winterized this past weekend. So far the long-range forecast shows that we made the right decision.

I don't know how you guys do it so quick.
Drain hot water heater - 2 minutes (including removing and replacing anode)
Drain fresh water tank - 5 minutes or less 9depending on if or how much water is in it)
Remove screws from access panel where bypass knob is and turn knob and replace panel - another 2 minutes
Put antifreeze in freshwater tank - 2-3 minutes
Turn on pump and run each faucet (cold and hot till pink runs freely...don't forget shower(s), toilet and city water intake - 5 minutes
I add some more pink stuff to black tank and leave some in the toilet bowl - 1 minute
----------
that's less than 20 minutes there...i'm tired and might of missed something, but not much more to do to it...if you blow the lines out, it really shouldn't vary too much on time...

I’m not trying to belittle anyone but what am I missing? We have been out 6 times this winter and I have de-winterized and re-winterized every time. Here is my procedure, what am I doing wrong?
De-winterize. Hook up water or turn on pump, open faucets and run until clear, flush toilet until clear, open the hot water tank bypass valves, open the pressure relief valve, fill the hot water tank, close the pressure relief valve, open the faucets one more time to bleed any remaining air and turn the hot water heater on. Done in about 5 minutes.
Re-winterize turn the hot water heater off, pull the plug/anode, open the pressure relief valve, flip the bypass valves, open a gallon of antifreeze, place the suction tube in, flip the isolation valve and open each faucet until it runs pink, turn off the pump. Done in about 15 minutes tops!

As many pointed out, not a big issue to De/Re-winterize. If I had a trip planned it wouldn't stop me. The biggest issue for me is dumping. I don't have a way to dump at home and use the facilities at a nearby state park, but this time of year the water is turned off there and dump station closed. I don't leave anything in the tanks when it is cold out due to several issues with tanks freezing and cracking pipes.
Part of my dewinterizing routine is to fill the tanks and put in the "geo stuff" and let the tanks sit for a week or so. Gives them a good clean out before the season starts.
