Tiger, I could almost hear the wind blow and smell the sagebrush! Well done -- I especially liked the shot of the moon rising over the hills at dusk.

Thanks for the great report Tiger!!!!

That is such a beautiful desert!!!!

I had planned to be in that area right now but due to my stupid back and a huge decrease in our income (long story) I will be staying very close to home!!!

Maybe next Spring!!!

Nice report and pics Tiger. We have been to Organ Pipe a couple of times and extensively hiked the area (although it's been almost 30 years since we were last there). Your pics brought back some good memories.

What can I say? Life is better with a bit of adventure in it, and adventures are better when there's someone to share the story/photos with. Thanks to all of you for being a great audience. For those who cannot get to the outback right now because of weather or health or whatever, may your travels resume soon.

I thoroughly enjoyed your trip report! Lots of detail, and beautifully illustrated!

I'm just catching up on RVnet. its been so unusually warm and snowless this March, I'm barely ever at the computer these days

Cheers!

Perfect timing. . . we are heading to Oro Valley (Catalina State Park) tomorrow and will follow many of your POI's.
The Buenos Aires National Wildlife Refuge is of particular interest.
A Phoenix area family relative said that that this time year sees many birds migrating north and that may well be in the "flyway".
Looking forward to it. . .many thanks for your help.

RichieC-

I hardly saw any birds at BANWR at all, but I arrived back home on the 13th. Even a few days can make a big difference. The place I saw the most birds was Catalina SP, especially in the picnic area. Gila woodpeckers, doves, vermillion flycatchers, SBBs.
