We were in Florida in July 2011 and joined when we were at the Camping World in Orlando. I've had to request cards and a membership package at least twice and have not received anything yet, and forget about refinancing with them....

I've thrown GS garbage mail out for years, and now I find out that I'm no longer a member of Camping World's Presidents Club, which I have been for at least a decade. I am now a member of Good Sam. Funny. I didn't get to vote on this or express whether I wanted the change or not.
I don't like this a bit. If I had wanted to be a Good Sam member, I would have joined long ago. I had the PC because I have purchased a good bit of camping goodies from Camping World since they are close by.
I expect that now, I'll have even more junk mail to dispose of. I think this was a bogus move on Lemonis part and when my membership is up next year, I probably won't renew.

There sure are a lot of whiners out there today. Who cares if they have combined the two programs? They're owned by the same company and it is their right to combine should they choose to do so. If the price is the same, seriously, who really cares?

You should READ my post,, I said nothing about the two programs being combined,, I said I have not received any cards or a packet when we became a member, and the refinancing is less than to be desired...

This forum is open to ALL... GS member or NOT. I'm sure everyone's purchases, in addition to mine (a non GS member), at Affinity Group's affiliates have gone towards the bottom line, including this forum. With the total number of Forum members mentioned in the past and growing, it's a viable marketing tool for the company. "Love us, hate us... just don't forget us."
Apparently the OP's GS membership has fallen through the cracks and how he responds to that upon renewal is totally up to him. But to suggest that his lack of membership to GS, for any reason, should exclude him from this Forum is ludicrous.

Did you actually call Good Sam? Are you sure you didn't throw out the new cards and info thinking it was more junk mail? I have found GS to be very responsive to anything I have talked with them about.

Almost happened to me. I usually always throw away the stuff that comes from Good Sam but something stopped on this one. It was my new cards but the letter also said the old PC cards will work also. I usually just give CW my phone number and they pull it up out of the computer.

If you haven't done so, call them. If you have and still have not received an valid explanation, call them again and ask for someone else. They've always been very responsive to my calls.
