Lets see if I can describe this. At the FRONT of the inner sliding rail is a welded in nut with a bolt that threads in from the bottom and it acts as a stop as it hits the stationary frame rail. It looks like the rack extends as far as the design allows. Ill try and stop by the rig today and get another picture that shows the stop.

Yep, all that sounds just like mine. Which tells me that the rack was not installed correctly. Tha factory screwed up, and I'm sure they will make it right.

I took a couple of more pics this morning. Now I wonder if Lippert welded the mounts for the stab jacks to far forward. In the second picture you can see the flat plate under the bolt. That plate is where the stab jacks would be if we had them.. Thanks for all of your input guys. It is much easier to deal with a big company like this when I am a bit more prepared with more info.

Other than power, my Laredo also has a pretty ribbed plastic tray in the bottom. I have a friend with a 2010 Cougar, his is also non -power, but it has the tray like mine!

I'll have to ask them about a tray as well on Monday.

I'm thinking you might not be pulling it out all the way to see the pin holes. It might be stuck. Wish I had it on my 5er. My buddy has it on his and he puts a full size barbeque on it and straps it down.

Just a quick update on our problem. Spoke on the phone to a couple of Lipperts finest today and took a few more measurements. The holes in the sliding section of the rack are drilled and spaced correctly at 8" and 28" from the back bumper. It appears that the nut and stop bolt are simply to far forward. Unfortunately the tubing is cut just behind the nut so there is no simple way to grind off the old nut and weld it 8 inches farther back. I am waiting to hear back from Lippert on how they want to fix this.

If you see the picture I posted above your post you can see where the stop bolt is hitting the stab jack bracket. Cant pull her out any farther than that.

Thanks for the update. IMHO they should ship a new one and let your dealer put it on. An alternative would be for them to pay a welding fabricator to make a new one but I don't think that will happen. The ends of my outer tubes are open and the inner sliding tubes can be quite long and cut to size. Let us know.

Thats going to be a big cumbersome package to ship. I am actually looking for an excuse to make the 3 hour trip to there factory so I can check the place out. I wonder if they have there own campground on site.....
