Salsa Chicken

2 pieces of chicken per person
LARGE jar or container of whatever salsa you like (just remember that in a crockpot, the flavors will concentrate)
Instant rice
Water for boiling rice

Place chicken in crockpot, cover with salsa, simmer on low 8 hours. Make rice, pour Chicken and salsa over rice, and enjoy!

What is the average length of time to cook this meal? I've never made chicken in my crock pot and this sounds like one my DH would go for!

Here is a good one that my wife fixes often. Everytime we have a get together she gets a lot of comments and requests for the recipe.
I always like to add jalapenos and onion.

That sounds good and easy. Love a baked potato that's not nuked or it takes forever in the oven. Going to try this recipe.

I'm making Boneless Beef Ribs in the crock pot today. Sliced onion, sliced garlic, salt & pepper, put the ribs in the pot and add about 1/2 bottle of BBQ sauce, no other liquid needed. Cook on low about 4-5 hours.

1...can diced tomatoes w/chilis
1...can black beans
3...cans chicken stock
1...cup chopped onions

1...tsp garlic granules
1...can white chicken (swansons)
1...tspchili powder
1...tsp cilantro flakes

Put a bag in the crockpot(easy cleanup)..add ingredients, gently stir and simmer the soup for several hours. No need to drain the liquids from the can vegetables the extra liquid adds to the soup.
Step 2
Prior to serving grate cheese and fry up some tortilla strips
Step 3
When ready to serve have some warm some tortilla's as some like to dip warm tortillas in the soup.

Sorry about the (dumb) question. If I had read a bit slower I would have seen that you put the cooking time in your original post. My brain was thinking about the food!

Just want to say thanks to Grammie for this recipe. I bought McCormick's rotisserie chicken spice, rubbed it generously into the chicken pieces (skin on) and followed the above directions. The chicken was melt in your mouth tender and the flavor was just right..not too bold, not too dull. We had large and medium size russet potatoes and I found that the medium size ones were cooked thoroughly enough but the larger size ones were still a bit too hard for our family (though I know some people prefer this). I highly recommend this recipe for anyone needing a new meal.
