Did they tell you upfront what the cost is? If not you should of asked. I can understand about being upset about the dish thing and the time it took, but I believe this part is just an attempt to add fuel to the fire and think this is your problem for not knowing what you would be charged.

Sorry the OP had, what he considered an unsatisfactory experience with the Denver Camping World. My experiences with them has been the very opposite. We lived in Colorado, prior to moving to Florida and Denver CW did most of my RV work. They added a satellite antennae, receiver, etc. to our Class A we had at the time, wired my Jeep toad for running lights, one trip that I remember. Then two summers ago, our AC went out on our truck camper while we were in Colorado Springs, so I took it to the CW store there after calling around for prices. The CW store was locally competitive on price, so I had them replace the AC unit. They were ready, did the job on time, in a very professional manner, just as had the Denver store, done work on several occasions in the past.
Any organization is just a composite of the employees. Some are better than others, some may have had a bad day, personal problems may have occurred before coming to work that day, etc. No different than walking into a government office and being less than satisfied with the way you are treated. Having been in business, at times, it is not easy to remain pleasant to some customers, even though it is part of the job. If the tech hadn't stopped working on the motorhome in question to do the hitch for the truck, then that owner would have missed his appointment time so someone was going to be inconvenienced no matter what order the work was completed.
It is hard for me to be too sympathetic to someone, with the screen name of "bankboss" as well. LOL
My only complaint with CW, is since they added the "RV Sales" it is virtually impossible, to find a parking spot at most of the stores, to go into buy something.

joe b: How long ago did you have work done at the Denver CW store? The Denver CW used to do good service work and the customer services was fine. Over the past two years they have gone downhill to the point I would no longer use them for anything. The Colorado Springs CW may do professional work, but we are talking about the Denver store in March 2012. I am sure there are great CW stores all around the country, but a good store in Colorado Springs or Florida does not make a CW store in Denver any better. It is all about the people who manage the store, how the employees are trained, about their attitude and work ethic, and response to customers. Jetboater454, I would have a fit if any rv technician put parts on my bed. At the Transwest service center I use, they put covers over anything in the interior where they are going to be working.
My coach interior was not covered. when i was inside the coach with him and he was pulling out electric plugs to find out why they were not working he was very rough pulling them out i had wood chips on the sofa and cabinets had saw dust in them.
Maybe i'm just picky.. but when you spend that kinda money and they are working on your "baby" i think anyone would be upset.
I called CW this morning to talk with the manger about what they did exactly to fix the electrical in the front part of my coach.. its 4:45pm now and still didnt get a call back from him.
I was leary of the first time poster signing up here, and badmouthing the company (on several forums), to never be heard from again. Sounds like it was typical trolling.
Thanks anyway to Marcus for coming on here and responding. It's a shame his company's name was drug through the mud.

That job probably took 45 minutes to one hour. At a rate of $100 per hour, which is what you will find almost anywhere, you were charged appropriately. If it is such an easy job, why didn't you do it yourself?
