one word of caution that I experienced with Interstate. Their so-called warranty has nothing to do with purchase date. It is the date of mnanufacture stamped on the battery. happened to me twice with my boat deep cells.

Also read the warranty carefully, with many batteries it's prorated based on "retail price" which is often double the actual selling price. So after a short period the percent you pay is the same as the purchase price even if you had no warranty.

I think this posting inspired me, I'm going to get another two so I'll have a bank of 4. The box is big enough and the first two are new enough so they should match ok. We were out this weekend, cold and the furnace ran a lot of the time. The batteries (2) went down to about 40% or in the 11v range sometimes. The inverter would not go on with the low voltage so another pair would easily get me through a weekend without the generator.

Last December we replaced our seven year old group 31 AGM's (3 of them) with 4 six volt golf car batteries from Costco. They have Interstate Battery labels on them are rated at 210 AH, and weigh 65lbs each. Cost was just under $80 each.

Sam's Club is not selling Duracell Batteries both regular wet cell and AGM in 6V golf cart and 12V auto batteries. Made by East Penn Mfg. that also makes the Deka batteries. This was posted several weeks ago. Do a search if you want more info.

my costco has them, 79.99$ 220amp/hr, 100 mins@75amp, 425 mins@25amps, or i can get a US Battery for 155$ 251amp/hr, 154 mins@75amp, 562 mins@25amps........

so in a dp would it be worth the extra cost to get the bigger battery for almost twice the cost? plus i dont have a costco membership...
