The first fuel filter has a sensor that detects water in the bottom of the filter. Open the petcock on the bottom of the filter and drain some fuel in a container and see if you have any water. The water will come out first because the fuel will float on the water. If no water is present then check and make sure that the electrical connection is good. I had the same problem travelling in some wet snow, I removed the connection, cleaned it and sprayed the plug with some contact cleaner, plugged it back in and all was good.
