Looks great.
Where did you camp? I try to boondock on trips like that. I have been going to South Padre Island in Jan. but this looks better. SPI has been getting too commercial and the beaches are poor.

I have been known to boondock.
The water and beaches are clean in Florida... crowded is a realitive word... I'm at the beach at this moment... it is busy... each and every person has at least an acre of space each
The porposes (bottle nose dolphins) have been parading... a few kites are flying... no warning flags... there are about 50 people as far as the eye can see and less than 20 vehicles...
We have been here 17days... and didn't plan any... just passing thru.
It's 80ºF... and I'm snow blinded.

We had icing on our cake at about 5 pm
The Blue Angels flew low over the beach we are on... 6 airplanes in front followed by the chase plane traveling in a westwardly direction... their home base is 28 miles west of us.
They recently returned to Pensacola Naval Air Station from their winter training. They pracice for the public on Tuesday and Wednesday mornings... free at the museum at the base.

Truth in boondocking... east coast.
I get asked questions about this in PMs, emails, and by phone... it all fairness I should try to offer some insight.
It is much different in the east.
The population is dense and...
Most eastern land is privately owned or tightly controlled.
You can stay overnight without pay in most areas but it won't be on a beach...
...and you won't be setting up a tent, a pop-up, or a mega MH or trailer... you won't need a fire ring, a grill, an awning or a badmitten set for your night time location. You will simply be parked. Just keep a low profile.
And "parked" is image that you'll need to project.
If your TC, class B or even a smaller class C is new, and/or well kept and clean you shouldn't have any problems finding a place to "park"
If you are towing anything it gets much harder to appear to be "just parked"
There are homeless people (temporary I hope) all over... sleeping in cars, vans, and RV's... they have to find "new" hide-outs every night.
Your clean and waxed Truck Camper or other small RV will set you apart from them... you will project a positive image
Your personal appearence will be the just as important if people will see you, and they will... if you are unkept, dirty, or look threatning you will have a hard time, you will probably get rousted.
I learned from Tioga George (google his name) that you should go to the beach early in the day... get a good spot and stay until sunset. Then move to a good overnight parking spot. (He hauls a bicycle to get around and for exercise while at the beach)
I am writing this in the middle of my and Janets 952nd sucessful boondocking night in our truckcamper... and we have never been bothered. Our TC is set up to stay off the grid indeffinately.
Thanks Tioga George

I like Tioga George already. Thanks for the insights on boondocking. "Parked" is a word Mrs Eugarps and I will be using a lot as we explore.

I wish that you wouldn't post when you are sick.
I started out with allergies... which weaked my system.
Then you exposed me to your cyber cold and your cyber germs got me in a non-cyber way... with a double whammy. It appears that I am in stage two... it has continued from my head to my lungs...
After doing a system search for the culprit... I find that you are the most likely donor.
I know, I know I should be greatful... this is only the second time that I've ever had an illness in 953 nights traveling... but is still a pain in the... neck! the sore throat part has been with me on this one from the start.
... we are going to the beach early every morning... staying until sunset... only for the vitimun C oand D of course... seeing 300 pound people in thongs will not cure a cold or make you feel better!
So Joe.... wear a mask when you have a cold and operate your computer... I'm wearing one as I type... the rubber bands are chafing the back of my ears... but its worth it.. I don't want our friends cyber sickness to be my fault.
I hope that you are over yours.

Mine died out pretty fast, I had about 2 days of ugly sore throat and fever then after that about 7 days of runny nose.
I've been taking Beta-Glucan and Mushroom Complex supplements (Both supposed to be immune boosters, so far they appear to work) in addition to my regular multivitamin which seem to have helped reduce the severity of the cold.

Thia has been a first...
... we planned a "loop" trip to last 3 months.
We stopped in the Florida panhandle for a day or three... it has been so nice that we now find that we have been here for three weeks...
We get up every morning... have breakfast and go to the beach. Our favorite is 7 minutes away... we stay until sunset.
Retirement means never working another day... I don't know how that I ever had time for work.
It seems that about 25% of the people we talk with are from Quebec... they usually come for several months.
We will move on,,, for sure as it gets warmer.
