As already posted, you should have enough. Just don't "dawdle". Biggest concern would be filling the grey water tank if you are not on a site with sewer or grey water drain. Our 6 gallon water heater easily re-heats in 20 minutes or less between showers.

This will be good news to her. The PDI tech told her she would only have hot water for about 2 minutes.

Follow the tips above and you're more likely to run out of grey tank space than hot water. This assumes the wife does not let the water just run for a long time. We use the turn on/turn off method and have never run out of hot water.

My wife and I have found we can easily take showers right after each other, using a 6 gallon tank with no problems. When dry camping we find that about 5 gallons of water is very sufficient for a cleansing shower. Recreational shower would also be possible (soaking and basking in the hot water) but would need about fifteen to twenty minutes between them. Remember if your water heater is set correctly you will be mixing about 50/50 hot with cold water so you double the amount of available water. If you have it set so you can use only hot water, then you will likely be running out of it.

Man O Man ...and I am concerned about the gas prices....,sorry could not resist.
You will have plenty of hot water if you use it wisely.

You can always set the HWH to run on electric and propane at the same time as that speeds up recovery time. That is what we do if we want to shower back to back.

When we go on our first RV vacation at the end of May my wife is concerned of having hot water for a shower...Our Cougar has a 6 gallon tank...But will there be enough hot water for her to take a shower?
You cannot take long soaking showers, but the HW out of those tanks could cook crabs. Generally you have to mix a good bit of cold water to get the temperature to a more reasonable level.

My pardette is pretty urbane and she does fine in the shower. Her hair length varies on mood through the years and her had been upper mid back. She never complained even with a 6 gallon tank (we have a 10 now).

You may want to check your Cougar and see if you have a gas/electric. Our older Trailmanor did, but our new Puma does not. The gas/electrics have very, very quick recovery but even a gas unit will reheat the water in 15-20 minutes.

Another thing that will help is replacing the usually lame shower heads. Oxygenics shower head is very nice and when our trailer was totaled last year, was the first thing I salvaged for our new one. I don't buy everything Oxygenics says in the sales literature (about the extra oxygen helping your skin) but it is a great low flow showerhead that is easy to manipulate.

No complaints from our 3 DDs and DW as of yet and they all have long hair.

She will be fine, if you have have gas and electric run them both while the shower is being used and that water will stay hot for a long time. I like long showers too and haven't run out yet but our tank is a 10 gallon. Tell her to wash her hair first and then enjoy the shower till it gets cold.

Didn't think about this but that is ok to do? I'm guessing it helps in recovery time also?

When we had a 6-gallon hot water tank, we turned the water to the hottest possible. I have think hair past my shoulders, and I understand the shampoo/condition concern. I was able to take a complete shower (and I like 'em hot) without having to do it military (water on/off). However......add shave my legs to the mix, then I had to be a bit more aware of the hot water usage.

Not that you asked, but with our new 10 gallon hot water tank, I can have a long shower - wash/condition hair & shave - without having to stop the water flow at any time.

Happy Travels!
