What? you have airbags? I don't need no stinking airbags...my beach balls work just fine!!!!! And a whole lot cheaper to replace

A Slide out is the best thing in a TC. We can be 4 in our unit and be comfortable.
As my wife says we can pass each other without getting pregnant.

I know what's next: A slide FORWARD overcab bed!
then, it could extend down, in front of the truck, to the ground..... AND we could install an escalator.....
Sorry, couldn't resist

For that kind of weight and $$$ why not buy a Winnebago Class C? That thing isnt even a TC anymore.

What is the purpose of the slide in the bunk area? Pushing the wardrobe out gets you......space?

Wardrobe probably has to be slid out to open the doors.
With a king bed up there (nice) there is no room to the sides. In order to have usable height to the wardrobe the doors probably have to be the full height of the wardrobe.
EDIT: zooming in on the photo of the wardrobe it looks like the doors open above the bed but there are drawers under the doors which wouldn't open with the slide in.

During a hurricane I've had 5 adults and 2 kids in my Lance 992 and have been very comfortable. The 2 other campers in the group were non-slides. If we had a non-slide everyone would have had to hang out in their own campers for lack of room.
A rainy day at the beach with a non-slide would be a drag IMO.
I'm a double slide looking to upgrade to a triple slide kinda camper!

We have a single and it's nice but i think we could do without it.
in the future when/if i trade i probly get one without and hopefully save a little weight.
I'm with the rest of you, that thing has got to weigh 5,500lb + ready to camp in, add in some of the options ( solar, genny, and a few of the other heavy ones and i think it would top 6k.

Scroll Down Chalet Quad Slide
Finally another camper with a kingsized bed like mine.
My Lance 915 doesn't have any slides however.
Remove the night stand then slide the twin beds together.
Presto a kingsize bed.
Lance twin bed arangement.

My friend has a 3-slide Chalet camper on a Silverado 3500 diesel dually.
Total scale weight is around 16,000 lbs. I think we're talking about 8,000 lbs for the camper.
