Every spring clean roof with rubber roof cleaner/conditioner, wash and scrub the rest then apply Meguires rv wax windows and all. My buddy and a young man we hired done both our 5vers last saturday they measure 36.5 and 37 feet took us 9 hours each for a totall of 27 hours or roughly 13.5 hours each 5ver. we put the young man in a man lift on a fork lift he done the top section and front cap. We did as high up as we could reach. The fork lift cut off a lot of time over the ladder we used in the past. We wash with rv wash and wax as needed 2 to 3 times a year but do the front cap more as to remove bugs. Friends fiver has sat outside 4 years since new. I stored mine inside 3 out of four years since new. Couldn't store inside last year as building was flooded hoping can get it back in this fall.

....a little over 39'...hand wax it 2 to 3 times a year. I've used an orbital buffer on occasion on stubborn spotsI do it by hand and do the front and back caps first, then one side and the other....I've done it all in one day and I've taken several day's to do the job...for an almost 6 yr old 5er, I get a lot of compliments on how good it looks, so I feel good about the waxing and upkeep I've put into our 5er over the years..

I use the protect all rv wax and find it the least difficult to apply/remove. Usually twice a year. I use a pole brush with towel wrapped - one to apply - another to remove. Not too bad and the wax seems durable. No oxidation on the 06 cougar and it is stored outside - many in campgrounds say it must be new.

I hand wax our 38 footer 2 to 3 times a year using Rejex on the front /rear caps and Tech 2 on the remainder.
Do you keep in sheltered or covered?
No...wish I could though. It rains 369 days a year here
After waxing 2/3's of my new Komfort this afternoon, I have to wonder how many people truly maintain there RV to this extent.
I do it because it is my "therapy". I actually like keeping both the RV and my scooter looking new.
I figure start to finish, this job is going to take me about 8 hours!!
It does take some time! I usually do it over a couple of days. You will be glad you waxed it...it will no doubt make a difference in the years to come.

Isn't that what teenagers are for? :-) Flat fee, $5/ft, but must be done by dinner time; crew size, their choice. You sit in the shade sipping a cold one and "supervize"; just don't snore too loudly. :-)

Big job for sure. Do it once or twice a year. Trailer is indoor kept. Workload is nothing compared to doing a similar length boat. One day for the trailer, using a HD buffer, is five for the boat. No complaints doing the 5er at all.

WE wash our 34' 2008 quite often, the cap gets washed & waxed after every outting. Probably hand wax the whole trailer about 3 times a year. Wash the roof 3 or 4 times a year.....its sits outside and gets a fair amount of sun....I apply 303 to the decals probably once a month...roof, twice a year.
She looks like new.
Current wax is Meguires 50 Marine Wax....goes on smooth and comes off easy.

Well, I finished it up this afternoon and I am beat. Thankfully, I was able to reach all the panels with it still sitting under the shelter. This is the first time I have had a shelter for my RV and I can see already the RV is going to stay much cleaner. I ordered a 90% UV blocking sunshade and made a curtain wall to keep the sun off the front nose. No sun, No rain, and a wax job twice a year should keep this thing looking new for quite some time.
