You do not need an app killer. Android will either idle or shut down any app not being used if resources are needed for an active app.

The TV Antenna Helper app will tell you which way to point your batwing.
FoxFi app will let you tether using the data plan you already pay for.

My opinion, number 1. - go to market and get 'Lookout Mobile Security - Security and Anti-Virus'..I have a few of their other apps, b ut that is a necessity..You install an app, it scans it and accepts if secure and no virus..
Worth it's weight in gold..

You guys rock! Had to have a friend show me how to SEARCH for apps (so THAT'S what the magnifying glass means! )- found the Antenna helper, Flying J, FoxFi, Task Manager, Compass, etc! You are right - that phone (Motorola Droid Razr) is truly a computer that happens to make phonecalls, too. First trial trip for it coming up in a couple weeks - will see how MY learning curve has progressed! ST

I used this app for well over a year but months ago switched to AVAST which offers so much more and for no $. Lookout Mobile Security - Security and Anti-Virus is wanting your $ for what they call Premium features. Again, AVAST is considered a better way to go by many.

For the AVAST app, to learn more, go here.

We are talking apps for smart phones in this thread. Your notebook related comments have no bearing in regard to the app topic at hand.
