I use Verizon, Droid X phone, and the Asus wifi tablet. When driving and need a hotspot for my tablet - I activate the free Foxfi app on my Droid. Gives me a hotspot for my tablet that uses the data side of my phone.

Took a while but love my smart phone now. I have an Iphone and here are the ones I enjoy.

FOR THE RV - Most/all were free:
Flying J
Loves
RV Park Finder (Trailer Life Directory
Walmart
Woodalls
Rest Area
Iexit
Passport America (if you use this)
Thousand Trails Planner (if a member)
Mileage keeper - tracks cost and MPG
Gas Buddy
The weather Channel

Favorite others while out and about:
Starbucks
YELP - ratings of all kinds of local businesses
Dragon - speech to text

BEST APPLICATION for fun:
Geocaching - get the one from geocaching.com Costs $9.95 and works well when you have a phone signal.

Test out the free versions and read ratings. Have purchased several games and now love my handheld computer - that also is a phone. ENJOY!! Still learning about the capabilities.

Hi All! THANK YOU for the suggestions! I've been at it for about a week - gotta admit I'm pretty impressed by what I can do with a "phone"!!! So far I figured out how to place a call AND hang up! Yup - that was an accomplishment!!! Gas Buddy is already saving me $, as is the tethering! Managed to take a picture, and figure out how to get it back! Simple things...! I am sure I will have more questions as I go along. Thanks! ST

This Razr related forum offers a wealth of info specific to the Motorola Razr. You might want to drop by there and read. That forum is very good.

You may want to try my RV Checklist App for your Android phone. (The app is free. There are no ads. I do not benefit in any way.)

Have you ever forgotten to stow your antenna and had it damaged when you drove away? Have you ever forgotten to put your tow in neutral before you pulled away? I have a solution for you; RV Checklist. This application for your Android smartphone presents checklists that are useful to RVers. It makes sure you don't forget the important things. And, it is free! Completely free; no strings attached; no advertising. I developed this application for myself but thought it would be useful to other RVers. You can download the application from the Android Market for free by searching for "RV Checklist" or use the following link:

If you like the application, please leave feedback in the Android Market.

You do not need an app killer. Android will either idle or shut down any app not being used if resources are needed for an active app.

The TV Antenna Helper app will tell you which way to point your batwing.
FoxFi app will let you tether using the data plan you already pay for.

Does the TV Antenna Helper App just come with the Droid? I can't find it on my IPhone. Thanks. Steve
