A while back I bought two 24 LED panels to get more light over dinette table. They were cheap and came from China. They came sooner than I was told and worked so great I bought 6 more which came yesterday. The first four installed and worked great. Last two did not light. I tracked the problem down to bad connection between my lite fixture socket and LED adaptor. A little adjustment to both and now all work. I have the wedge style bulb socket which are goofey at best. Light output is awsome and I detect no heat on initial test. Very happy with these so far.

So where'd you buy them? I put two 36 led's in my trailer and not as much light as the old 1157 bulbs.

I just received 10 of the 48 LED panels- got here faster than quoted in good condition.
The bad part- adapters for the standard bayonet base is not included (not a big deal to me), but these suckers are bright. My first install was in an extra Makita flashlight I had using a 12 volt rechargeable battery.

You can buy these 102 LED bulbs in either 1156 or 1157 for $4 each. Plenty of light.

I've gotta ask...What do you do w/ these stick-on panels? Can you pull out a bulb and replace it w/ one of those panels in the plastic overhead fixture? I'm wanting to replace the overheads w/ LED's to cut down on the heat those things put out.

Oasisbob, the contact problem you had could have been polarity. The wedge base has 2 identical contacts. The incandescent bulbs don't care which is the positive contact but the LEDs do care. If it doesn't work when you first plug it in, turn the connector over and try again.

The panels come with a double sided sticky tape. Just stick the panel to the fixture and plug the connector into the fixture socket. It may help the tape to stick better if you gently roughen the surface of the fixture with some fine sandpaper. Here is how it looks.
