Has anyone else noticed that, as a last act of defiance, in the millisecond before they hit the windhshield bugs will get into the proper position to be right in your line of sight?

They do fly higher, As I recall they have been spotted hundreds of feet up.

They also fly lower.

Just remember: Some days you are the bug, Some days the windshield.

I would like to know why birds perched on telephone wires along a road will suddenly decide to dive across the road right in front of me. Most of the time they make it; but occasionally one doesn't. They clearly know I'm coming yet they try to make it anyway. I think they are bird dare-devils trying to prove how quick they are to some chick.

They have clearance from the flight controllers to fly that low, but at their own Risk.

What's the last thing that goes through a bug's mind when it hits your windshield?

... It's rear end.
