Hi all,
I'll be headed out early tomorrow and wondered if anyone knows of a decent restaurant for breakfast West of Hartford maybe around Waterbury or Danbury but convenient to 84. Thanks!!

There is a good diner at exit on Route 52 in Fishkill NY. At least it was good several years back when I lived there.

Well I'm idiot #2 then I figured out it was Blue Colony but I took a wrong turn off exit 10 and went into Sandy Hook. I ended up at The Sandy Hook Diner. A tiny place right in town about a half mile from the highway. The food and service was excellent with the best homemade hash I've had in a while. I highly recommend this place. Thanks for the replies.

The Blue Moon Diner its right on I84 in Sandy Hook, CT, I think its exit 10, lots of advertisement and you can see it before you get to the exit. We always stop there, I look forward to it, but when it comes time to leave I have regrets for stopping... I'm too full and of course you have to be seated right next to the homemade pastries case... But what harm can just one giant éclair or a Neapolitan do? Or maybe you should get some extras for the long trip maybe take some down to FL for the family.

There you are riding in that enclosed truck with that awful smell a fresh made Bismarck wafting into your face... Maybe just a bite or two... then the filling is oozing out all over the place (they over stuff them on porpoise to tech you a lesson on snacking while driving) well, you've gone this far you might as well finish it. Then you look over and see you wife making a friggin mess in your new truck and you have to help her, to save your seat covers of course.

On second thought, maybe you'd better forget about this place. Save you waist line, save you seat covers and save your sugar overload. Better stop well before you get there.

OH, I didn’t tell you about the food there… it’s no good either. There is something wrong when you get a 6 page menu just for breakfast and there are fifty cars in the parking lot. I stopped there for lunch one day and they had two parking attendants but surprising there never seems to be much of a waiting line.
