I would like to give an update that I did receive a call from JD at the Camping World store in New Braunsfel's, Tx. and after discussing the issues with him I feel like we are headed in the right direction. I was told that three of the five items on our list were taken care of today and the material for the two awnings had been ordered. I do know "things happen" and I would normally not post something like this on a forum because it might be taken as bashing but I felt like we had no other way to get something done. I am just happy that right now we are much less frustrated than we were at this time yesterday. Thanks again Marcus to you and your staff.

I stopped using Camping World some time ago. I purchased a new TT in 2010. Signed paperwork on 5-19-2010 took delivery on 5-25-2010. Fast forward 2011>> On 05-21-2011, camper packed ready to go and when I try to pull the slide in....the actuator breaks not jut the pin, the slide rod breaks. Missed my trip. Call CW they say we will check. After not returning several of my call they tell me "out of warranty, sorry, we even contacted the manufacturer and they cant help because its out of warranty." I call Dutchmen myself and as usual, first thing they ask for is the VIN. Nice lady at Dutchmen looks up my VIN and tells me "no one has called us about your unit having a problem." I call CW only to be told Dutchmen is wrong. Dutchmen put me in touch with Lippert. They apologized for CW and sent me a new slide and motor out the next day. Camping World is so big they know people will come pi$$ one off, oh well. They lost my retail business over $10. bought RV cover, to big took back and had to pay $10 for a smaller size because sale had ended.... huh? just trade me even no can do. I will take my RV business to another dealer and my retail business to the internet. Why create stress when you already have enough. If Good Sam did not pay for itself in park discounts I would not have it. Anyway, the season is upon us, go forth and enjoy yourself and have a safe trip

Let me also say that after I fixed my own unit the GM of the local CW called and offered me a $50 gift card while still defending CW. That was the last 50 they saw ever from me.

I tried to buy an rv from the fort worth, tx store and after we agreed on the price and options...
the bait and switch that then went on disgusted me - I walked our immediately...
"OH, I forgot the price and quoted it wrong - $3000 more please !"
needless to say I didn't sign on the dotted line...

but they do have some things that are not available elsewhere and I was in there for a potential $2 or $3,000 dollar purchase of awning covers and $1000 for a mounted satellite for the new 5er I bought elsewhere,

but no one would help me...
even walked by me two or three times while I asked for help !!

You might be better off not having one close to you !!!

CW, HIRE some people that care !

I would just like to end this thread by saying we picked up our trailer yesterday and all issues seem to be fixed. We won't know for sure until our next trip in about a week. I would like to thank Marcus and all of his staff right down to JD the service manager at the CW where we had the repairs done. I do realize what happened as do there management that caused our trailer repair to fall through the cracks and hopefully they are making changes so that this does not happen again.

Well we have had work done at Camping world in Henderson, Nev: Greenwood, In: Pheonix, Az: and Jeffersonville, In. We are pleased with everything we purchased or had installed. The service has been above my expectations and the people are always friendly.

It is always amazing to me how bad Customer Service travels like wildfire, but good Customer Service just smolders or never really gets going. Over the last year, we have had service work and parts installed at both the Springfield, Missouri and the Kissimmee, Florida stores. I have purchased many items from their stores and over the internet through their online store and have had nothing but a positive experience. To see the response from Mr. Marcus Lemonis is very encouraging to me. I believe Camping World has good, competitive stores and prices in a very tough market. Are they always the cheapest? No Do they have nice stores? Yes Are the Employees friendly and knowledgable? No complaint here. Did I buy my travel trailer from them? No Do I buy everything from them? Nope, but I'll give them a chance and I enjoy a break in their stores when we are traveling and we've never left empty handed.
