We love our new Revolution. They started the name change January 2011, there actually is both Fleetwood and AC Revolutions for 2011 as a result. We traded our 07 Discovery, major upgrade. We have just had ours out for one weekend, cant wait to take it out again.

Apples and better grade apples kinda thing. The Rev costs way more than the Ventana. No air adj. on tags, or any other bags. The one thing I would do on ANY rig sitting on the lot for over a year, is have them put in new house batteries as part of the deal. They will always be bad. Good luck, Robbie

I am a little concerned with the left over American Revolution. Have any of you American Revolution owners had any significant problems? The Canyon Star was a left over and we had some very sinificant electricl issues (trnasfer switch, chassis battery and holding tank indicating system problems just to name a few) Also, I have 4 children ranging in ages from 3-12. Is the American Recolution "Child Friendly" or is this RV to advanced for smaller children? The Newmar Ventana 3843 has bunk beds equipped with individual DVD players similar to the Canyon Star. Thi is handy in resolving the "But I dont want to watch what he is watching" paradigm. The towing capacity of the Ventana is 5,000 lbs same as the Canyon Star so the 15,000 lb capacity of the American Revolution will definiately afford me some growth as the kids get older and I will need a bigger toad. Currently I towing a 2010 Honda Odyessy but may need a Tahoe in a few years thus exceeding the capacity of the Ventana. Lastly, any tips for driving a Tag axel and adjusting the air suspension. Are the operating and maintenance costs for a diesel coach significant (aside from the current price of gas)? I am just a bit concerned I am biting off more than I can chew. Any info is greatly appreciated. Thanks. Chris

Great info. Thanks. I have been reading a lot of threads about Revolutions. I found one talking about a diesel fuel smell while using the Aqua Hot water heater system. Does the Aqua Hot system function on shore power or only the diesel fuel. Thanks again. Chris.

Most Aqua Hot systems have both 120 VAC and diesel fired heat sources. Most also have "motor-aid" so that while driving, your engine provides a heat source. VERIFY how yours is equipped.
And if you do have a 120 VAC element, it will not provide as many BTU's as will the the diesel burner.
A diesel smell normally indicates a need to service the unit. Could be a problem with the jet or with the air supply.

I guess with anything, proper and timely maintenance are essential to good operation. I am concerned with the all electrical coach. How often does the Aqua Hot system need to be serviced? I have also read in other posts the coach batteries need replaced about every year if the coach is left in storage. I will definiately get new batteries should we go with the Rev. Chris.

I just finished reading the owners adn maintenance manual for the Aqua Hot system. It refers to Domestic Water but only mentiones water coming from a freah water tank. The system must also works with a water hook up. Correct??? I hate aksing potnetially obvious qustions, but this system is new to me and I want to be sure I understand how the system operates.

We took delivery of a 2011 rev. 42Q in April and really love it. We did make one trip to Decatur but it was just small things. The problems we found where mostly adjustments that the factory didn't make.
I would say we have had no problems from sitting on the lot, the batteries are even fine.
This is our second Rev, the first one we had for 5 years and never had a single battery problem or major problem.
Now is a good time to shop and we drove several looking for the ONE. We drove one twice thinking it could be the one to replace the REV. The first time we told them it had allot of rattles, the second time they brought it 100 miles for us to drive again, it still had noise. The microwave was loose from the wall and the vanity mirror was also loose. Why would someone bring this $360000 unit up with problems like that, he did say they would fix them. That's when we called our original dealer and drove the 2011 REV. We have pulled our GMC 3500 many miles behind our 40ft. and now the 42 with no problems, you honestly don't know its back there.

Hey all original poster here sorry for not returning sooner been busy. Our coach has a ten gallon DEF tank that I intend to fill and try to keep milage records as well as regeneration as it has already been thru one since we have had it. Milage from the computor says 5.8 miles to the gallon. Has to be wrog but maybe not. I just reset it and it says I have 986 miles to go on a 150 gallon tank. This coach idled for several hours which I say contributed to the regeneration as well as the low milage per gallon. We will be taking it back to the factory 5-29 2012 for some problems and adjustments. We will have to leave it. Not happy with this but we want it right when we get it back. We have paint issues which I will give american coach as well as the dealer credit for. Anyway AC has agreed to make it right I trust them to do so. We have been out twice since purchase aqua hot IS great. all other systems work except the satelite which I dont understand why they installed it this way. Takes two receivers to watch onall tv's. Coach batteries fine but had to replace chassis batteries when we returned home. Hole in one and would not hold charge. Dealer will not return calls or answer complaint. I will see where this goes. Any way we love the coach. Still keeping our fingers crossed as this was a good decision. Did I mention we are a Newmar Fan. But I have been a fan of American Coach for a long time too. There are some extra cables that run from front to back, I added a splitter and share the antenna input in the bed room.
