Holland State Park, Grand Haven State Park, and 5 miles north is the P.J. Hoffmaster State park between Grand Haven and Muskegon.
Both Grand Haven and Holland (the lakeshore section) are on the actual shoreline with the Lake Michigan beach right out your RV's door. Like having a multi-million dollar beachfront cottage! Camping at both Holland and Grand Haven SP's is on a paved surface as you'd sink to your axles or RV's bottom in the very soft beach sand if you were to drive off the paved surface. Hoffmaster is between the dunes and about a 5 minute walk between the dunes on a constructed to the private camper's beach. All 3 CG's are very popular and fill up fast with reservations.
Grand Haven State Park has a long pier out into Lake Michigan open to the public right at the CG and there's a 2+ mile long wide scenic boardwalk to downtown etc with so much to do and see (it's .7 miles from the CG to downtown with food, bathrooms, benches, etc along the way). Very popular! It's along the big wide Grand River and thru continous parks and goes to the island, marinas, more parks, venues, and other popular places of interest etc. Includes the kids splash park downtown and the children's large Imagination Station and the Skate Park in Mulligan's Hollow Park. Always something entertaining going on in downtown Grand Haven all summer and the shoulder seasons and they are all FREE to the public. Lots of outdoor dining/eating places downtown. Very family and kids of all ages friendly. Over a hundred miles of paved bike paths to explore starting right from your own RV.
A little north of Muskegon is Muskegon State Park on Lake Michigan behind the sandunes. A ways to town etc tho if you need something. There's also a Muskegon Lake CG unit with a beach on Muskegon Lake. A couple miles north is a county park named Pioneer Park and CG on Lake Michigan.

I didn't mention Silver Lake State Park or Mears State Park (Pentwater) because they are both more than the 100-150 miles from the Michigan-Indiana border the OP asked about. If he wants to travel up to 200 miles north of the border, even Ludington State Park can also be included along with Silver Lake and Mears State Parks. Silver Lake State Park CG however is a couple miles east of Lake Michigan though and usually requires some driving. Most Mears and Ludington CG sites are walking distance from the Lake Michigan Shoreline.
Closer to the border would be Van Buren State Park near South Haven. There are private campgrounds (FHU's) all along the lakeshore, but we usually camp at state parks (electric only). Summer is busy along the lakeshore so be sure to plan ahead.

Only by less than 10 miles. just figured it was close enough to mention.
Yes, there are several in the Brooklyn area. Just so you know there are Nascar races twice during the summer at Michigan International Speedway just south of Brooklyn. The weekends of June 16 & 17 and August 18 & 19 will be extremely busy in that area and finding a campsite may be hard to come by.
Here's the RV Park Review.com page for Brooklyn. It only lists two campgrounds, but with this site you only see what is available if someone reviews a specific campground. You can use this site to look for other campgrounds in surrounding communities.
The International Speedway also has a campground (really it's just a big field with electric hookups & showers) along U.S. 12 between U.S.127 and M-50. They are open for camping at times other than during race weekends.
