So I just purchased a new Toy Hauler that has a Xantrex Freedom 458 Inverter/Convertor installed in it. I love how fast it charges my 4 six volt batteries. My question that I can't seem to find the answer to is it seems that for the inverter portion it only works for the two outlets that the TVs are plugged into. How do I make it power more 110 outlets on battery power? I would love to make the coffee maker and a few other outlets be able to get 110 power without the generator running. Thanks for the help

Plug your shore power cord into it.

Interesting....I never thought to do that. I guess just to the adapter to take it down to a 110 plug and plug it in?

It is a little more complex than that. You would need to turn OFF the 120 VAC breaker TO the inverter.

You will also need to make sure that the breakers are off to high-amp draws such as water heater, A/C's etc or make sure that everyone in the RV knows not to turn any of them on.

Better solution is to wire inverter output to the outlets you want powered by it. This can be done back at the breaker box or at the outlets themselves.

Obviously you want to turn off the charger section.

you have some "rewiring " to do

circuit path starts at the circuit breaker power panel
goes to the inverter
passes thru the inverter ( thru built in transfer relay) to the outlets being powered

when on battery only the down stream output side has power

your other circuits in the power panel have no power

you have to discoonect them in the panel you have to run wire from the inverter back to the panel and connect to those circuits

Options, always have options, and the journey goes much smoother

I simply added an outlet to the one that is powered from the Xantrex and use it for the coffee pot, vacuum cleaner and any other electrical devices when necessary. .

as long as you have a route for the wire, thru cabinets etc..
what Hershey did is probably the best idea
