Only been on that road 1 time. Same route as you're stating. Seemed very rough just out of Hugo then smoothed out then a toll booth, seems like it was +-7.00 for MH and toad as we neared McAllester there was another toll booth @ near the same price then the exit was about 100yds. ahead. "RIP OFF".

We've been running it about a dozen times a year since early 2008, end to end, going to Houston for medical care.
Years ago the Indian Nation used to be rough, hard expansion joints, especially when running over 80 mph. A lot of that was more noise from tires ringing, than actual bumps to be felt, but that's annoying too.
Turnpike authority worked on it some time before 2008, grinding and sealing joints, and it is a more comfortable ride now. They've been working on it again since 2010, a section at a time. As was said, you might find the left lane smoother.
