Well I'm stumped.
Looking for stands to store the Caribou on when not on the truck. Last time just used a set up with concrete block a 3/4" plywood a a few RR ties. All stuff I had around.

Huge effective and a real PITA. I'm looking for metal saw horses or stands I can set up in minutes. Did a few searches here and on the net and came up empty. Seems everyone is building their own dollys.

I'm afraid I don't have the skills to design and build my own. Any suggestions will be appreciated. Even if just a search word. Thanks and happy travels.

Mike,

I use what is called a half high scaffolding stage. Unfortunately I am out of town at the moment, but when I get home I will post some pictures. I find it easy to use and it only takes a couple of minutes to set up. It is also very sturdy and stood up to 100 km/h winds.

I'm only aware of Torklifts kit to make stands (you supply 2X6s)
http://shop.tlcentral.com/store/pc/viewPrd.asp?idcategory=124&idproduct=842.

I dont have or have not seen these so couldnt say anything about em. Just the only ones I know of for sale. (NOTE: IN description I'm unsure about the statement saying stands should be 1" min from ground-most will tell you stands are to supliment the campers jacks with most of weight on the jacks)

Mike
First and foremost thanks for your service. Second thank you Dr. obvious. can't believe I didn't think to check the TC Univ. Got my answers and a plan.
I was born and raised in Livonia. Been in AZ since the early 80's and don't get back to Mi much. Retirement in a few years and will make a northern Mich trip first on the list.
Thanks again

3/4 plywood
cut 3/4 slots
put together
place under camper

you can also put them on the bed of your truck, load the camper and take them along

Hey, me too.

I use the same set-up as Budster using the crossed plywood. Works good and is easy to store and cheap to make.

Another vote for the crossed plywood. Have your local MegaLumber store rip the pieces for you, then use a jig saw when you get home to cut the slots.

Make sure you use exterior grade (pressure treated) wood. A few bucks more and they will last forever.
