ok gang I am going to get a system. I will explain.

We headed out to camp with our camping group a few miles down the road and while traveling at 60 I heard an unusual noise and then boom, left front tire. After pulling off the road wiring harnesses for the jack system were laying on the ground and there was not much tire left. The tire flapped and tore off all the fiberglass protection in the wheel well. Two new tires and I was on my way after securing the harnesses.

After leaving the campground I saw some smoke in the mirrors and I thought something happened to the engine. It was my front toad tires. I had to disconnect and have the toad delivered home.

If I would have had some warning for the front tire I may have lessened damage by slowing down faster after the alarm. For my toad if I knew the air was leaking I would have only had to replace one instead of two.

So I guess I will order the 507. Small price compared to my damage.

Small price compared to my damage.

You don't know how many times this has been said over the years, but some still think they can beat the odds.

Peaches
I'm getting the 507 with replaceable bateries. I realize some sensors will fail so I will probably get one or two extra sensors later. But I will never leave the drive without working sensors on the toad again. My Cummins would pull the vehicle with four flats and I would only know if I had smoke in the mirrors. The only other indication I had was reduced mileage indication on the VMSpc but by then you have damaged the vehicle. My front rims, calipers pads and rotors all overheated. As I look forward, never again. I don't learn fast but I do learn.

My new 10 sensor system arrives tuesday. Can't wait to check it out.

Took a short 4 hour trip last week and I was really apprehensive about going. Not knowing what is going on now scares me now. If I had purchased a pressure system a year ago it would already have paid for itself. I have replaced my front toad tires twice. Once one goes flat it will take the other real quick not to mention possible damage rims and parts to overheating You have to know tire status at all times. It is that simple. But it took me years to learn this.

I have had my TST system for 4 yrs. now. Took a trip south in Feb. 1 of the sensors had a dead battery. I was negligent in getting the battery replaced before my trip (has the old style sensors, and has to be sent back to dealer for replacement). I, like you was very uneasy traveling with that 1 unprotected tire. My thoughts, if you ever own a monitor system. You will really feel uneasy without it.
