I have my HTT at Camping World for a maintenance check. They found that the spring and pin for the fan is rusted. How do I get my warranty to cover this? And yes it is rusted. My husband is watching them as I type.

I"d recommend you take it to a Rockwood dealer or at least a repair facility that will act as a go between for you (many will). Otherwise you'll need to contact Forest River, yourself to get authorization for the repair. Your BEST bet would be the dealer from which you purchased the trailer but if they're not in your area, then any OTHER Forest River dealer should be able to handle your repair and get factory authorization for you. Now ALL of this is based on the assumption that the rusty pin and spring (whatever those are) effect the functionality of those parts and is not just a cosmetic issue.

It's the fan in the bath room. I have only had the trailer since late October, but even with the pin right the fan is not working. I placed a warrant requst with RVW and am waiting to hear back. Unfortunately I don't have a Forest River dealer close that will touch it. They said they only work on units they sell and the don't sell the HTT. But RVW is supposed to have someone local for me that will. Camping World checked but did not replace, so no charge from them.

I doubt that any warranty company would cover that claim. Rust prevention is considered a maintenance item. Lack of maintenance by the consumer is not considered a liability to the policy holder.
If it happens to be a Fantastic Vent they will more than likely replace any parts free of charge.
