Hey Guys....Back to my electrical problem.
Recharged my battery then plugged in the shore power again. Well, before I plugged in I hooked up the battery and I immediately heard what I thought was the furnace kick on again. This is with all the breakers off!!! I looked at my indicator lights (tank levels etc.) and both water heater switches (gas and electric) were on and the water pump. I switched all three off. It wasn't the heater that was running, it was the water pump. There was, of course, no water in the tanks so, as a saftey feature,. I guess, it throws the breaker. Save the punp from burning out I suppose. Anyway.. I will be filling the tanks in the near future to flush out the antifreeze and sanitize. We'll see how the pump works then. But, I think we're good. Mystery solved.....How hard could it be???
There are no breakers to trip on the 12v side. Water pump can't throw a breaker (it's 12vDC) or burn a fuse by running empty. In fact the pump isn't hurt in the least bit by running dry.
The furnace can't trip a breaker either, it's 12vDC.
Your electrical problem has transmorphed into a towing capacity thread, thanks to thread rip off -- just like you did to this thread by asking about Ontario campgrounds in the middle of a water capacity discussion.
How hard is it to start a new thread? Or search for "Ontario?"

To rinse or not to rinse?? Newbie question. If I promise not to hold up the line at the dump station how does one rinse out the black water tank? Got our first trip planned for June (First day of summer).

there are a number of ways to rinse it, but dump stations often don't have a hose that will connect.
you can install a tank rinser or use a wand-type of sprayer that you do from inside.
you could use your own hose to attach but doing this will take time.
tank rinser will be the quickest at a dump station.
