I have an aunt in Portland that we visit on a reg basis and I also attend functions at L&C College where I graduated from and we usually stay at the RV Park of Portland and I just found out that they're closed... It seems as if they were offered an exorbitant amount of money to sell so that someone could build apartments there...
We can still go to Roamer's Roost, but it's kinda out of the way unless you're heading for McMinnville and the beach,Or,we can go to Pheasant Ridge, which is more expensive and has a bunch of rules and not a place I want to stay for more than 1 night.A few of the permanents are really full of themselves and give you a bad time when walking the dawg, etc. One guy told me that I was all parked wrong and would have to move my rig to a different area on my pad..Turned out I was blocking the view from his Class B van.I told him that mebbee he should get a bigger rig and then come talk to me.
I also don't like to stay on the Columbia river as those places are farther to drive and you have to go all the way thru town to get to where I'm going.
Bummer.

Sorry you had such a bad experience at Pheasant Ridge. While I've only overnighted there several times, I was well treated and my dog was not insulted. It is a well managed and very attractive park. Also it is conveniently located.
ummm roamers rest is like 4 miles from rv park. Just makie sure the rig is newer than 12 years, unless you are the medicine bearer. My jaw literally hit the ground when I saw that rig.

Only other option I can think of in the area is Hayden Island RV park. I'd suggest the park I stay at, but we've got a waiting list to get in this year and we're way out on the Northeast side of Sauvie Island.

There's another RV place...closer to Portland than Woodburn... but I can't think of the name of it. Maybe at Ehlen Rd. ???
It's on the EAST side of I5 and has a gas station next to it that has reasonable priced fuel. At the same exit on the west side of I5 there's a truck plaza and a big Shell gas station. AURORA ACRES Aurora Acres Map This isn't the right place but if you click on the map...and then enter this address 21599 Dolores Way NE, Aurora, OR 97002 into the search window it will take you there.
BUT I did do a check of area Dump stations...and that gives a list of
area RV parks with it. Go to this link and scroll down a ways on the page. (I picked Canby and then did a radius search).

That one on Hayden Island is the Jantzen Beach RV Park. When we visit our daughter, that's where we stay for a week or two (50amp, FHU). Also visit with a cousin.

If you can live with crossing from WA to OR every time, there's a park associated with a shopping center in Vancouver. We haven't stayed there but friends have and thought it was quite pleasant. Woodall's is in the RV in storage, so I can't go find it.
