I own an ISB 300 hp cummins. I think I get 10 mpg in a 38 ft diesel pusher on flat land. What MPG do you get with same engine? Thanks.

I have the Cummins ISB 6.7L with 325 hp/750 ft lb torque, and we get 8.5mpg in Colorado with the altitude and mountains, and on flatland and lower altitude we get 10mpg.

Our ISC 8.3 / 350 horse with a banks 425 chip in it, gave us 10.2 over 11,000 mile trip from Seattle to Mystic Seaport, Williamsburg, grand canyon and Seattle. We place the Alison tranny in economy, and the cruise control on 65.

6.5 to 7.5. But I can't drive 55. I'm always in a hurry when I go somewhere but don't think I could ever get it to 10.

I generally drive 65-75 depending on the freeway and prevailing speed limits. I get 9-10 with a 340 hp ISB DEF engine in my '11 Journey Express 34Y towing a Silverado crew cab 4x4. I have been really pleased with this engine and the fuel economy it provides.

Guys,

Physics is physics.

Light, aerodynamic coaches with "reasonable" HP modern diesel engines DO get 10 MPG.

This goes for Cummins B engines as well as Caterpillar 3116 and some 3126 powered coaches.

You can read these same numbers going back over a decade.
