I looked through the TCU and did about a half hour of searching.

Can someone point me in the direction of the Modification that allows you to open and close the stove vent flap from the inside of the camper? I remember it involved a coat hanger and a binder clip, but I'd like to review the pictures again.

Thanks!!!

Hmm lost post..
Within the last year or so there were a couple of good mods address this-one I was going to copy. Dont know they made it into TCU. But there were 2 different approaches. Might try searching the tc forums.

Looks like every May I ask this same dang thing. I think I stop from doing it because I don't want to remove the inner flap.

What is up with that? LOL

But ya me too. I like really Wnjjs mod but seems doing the rod like KKELLER14K seems you slot the innner flap? I may look at it next day or so, something I always think Im going to do but dont till were out fire up the oven and the dang out side flap is secured, 8' off the ground. have to find branch or our awning pull rod to open.

You're nice not pointing out my internet dumbness... LOL

I'll do it, but how would I "slot" the inner flap? Drill holes next to each other really close?

I really really hate that it wears on my brain to remember to close the flap.

Drilling would work but the inner flap at least on mine is sooo thin be hard to do without removing to backstop. It is thin enough remembering correctly that could be cut with razor/ knife. The slot would be pretty short though so might just wallow it for clearance. Dremal but dont think either way I have room without taking the hood down the way our fan box is made. I dont want to remove inner flap, though annoying when the wind blows-it does offer some isolation from outside (bugs) especially if outer is manually held open & possibly a minute bit of insulation from air exchange. Would simplify though...

What am I missing? Turn the stove fan on, it opens the vent, blows stuff outside. Turn fan off, vent door closes. Wind from outside cannot blow the door ope,.
