So we have season passes for 6 Flags & have been to neither the one in NY OR MA. Both are just over 5 hrs away from home. I'm looking for a campground with reasonable fees, pet friendly and does not need a lot of amenities as we'll be at the park from open to close. I'm leaning towards MA due to the longer park hours. I've found Golden Acres Campground in MA & Lake George Campsite in NY but no reviews.

Lake George RV Resort is not in the running this trip due to the cost & not enough time to utilize all they have to offer.

Any suggestions would be great.

Normandy farms would be about 1 1/2 to 2 hours away from Agawam.

We are amusement park freaks and, admittedly, rollercoaster snobs
We used to have season passes to Six Flags and have been to the Great Escape many times. However, it's not a really big park and there aren't that many thrill rides to amuse us all day. So, go and enjoy but if your family is like ours, be prepared to spend half a day or so there, depending on the weather and how long the ride lines are.

Six Flags in MA is okay but nothing to write home about, Not sure but have you looked into Six Flags and Wild Safari in NJ, overall much better parks

HearthStone Pt is really close to NY Great Escape, state park really reasonable rates.
