After we forgot a) our warm coats and b) the coffee on one cold April trip, we made a checklist for what goes inside the camper... But we don't have one for loading / unloading. We do walkarounds a lot; usually one close by and one from more distance. So far, this has always worked.
It is a fairly involved process that certainly varies for most of us.
Best regards
Joerg

Jacks up, awning up and locked, chocks and leveling blocks put away, doors and cabinets shut and locked, fridge on propane, water pump off. drive away
That's the list I used the time I drove down the highway with the slide open. LOL!
Yeah but I don't have a slide out on my TC so it works...lol
I don't have a slide either but I did drive around most of one day with the TV antenna still up. Felt like an idiot. Fortunately it was in eastern New Mexico so I didn't hit anything.

I don't use a list, but maybe I should. The things I forget the most are 1. Closing the fridge before I leave storage area. 2. Putting the antenna down and securing the tv, when I leave a camping area. 3. I have forgotten to put the slide in after working on the camper at home, but since I use my mirrors, I notice that pretty quick.

I walk all the way around the truck and camper. Unhook us from electric if we are on 120v, unhook the water supply.
I look over and under the camper.
After I lower the jacks to stabilize the camper at a campground, I always place the electric jack remote in front of the speedometer- prevents us from driving off with the jacks down.
Cathy secures everything inside. Turns the fridge onto 12v if we are driving long distance with minimal stops or onto propane if we are doing a stop and tourist day.
Off we go.
We don't need no stinkin' list.

I, on the otherhand, use a checklist to load, setup, stop enroute, and unload. I have my wife read it out loud. That way when there is an uh-oh, I have someone to share the blame.
Every mistake (or story on the TC forum) is an opportunity to edit the checklist. Mine have been edited many times.
