I grabbed this sub-topic from another post. It was worthy of it's own.
What's the strangest thing you carry with you?
For me it's my sewing machine. Not strange to me as it's very therapeutic. I sell my wares to offset my other hobbies and camping purchases. But I do get some strange looks from other campers when I'm sewing at the picnic table.

I carry a fence stretcher patented by Edward C. Lott on Feb 8, 1898. Patent number 598526 (www.google.com/patents/US788855.pdf). As near as I can tell, it was made that year.

What for ExRock?
My husband carries a projector and projector screen to show movies at night. Used to show them on the side of the camper until we bought a grey one.
The record is 24 kids spread around our campsite on blankets and in little lawnchairs watching "Cars". No one new each other. My popcorn maker did OT. It was awesome!

I have this small strange looking item - its bottom is sort of boat shaped, it has an electric cord, a top with a hand hold and a dial that indicates cool to hot & steam off/on. It has moved to 3 different RVs with me and it doesn't weigh much but I do not recall ever using it - perhaps I will leave it out of this one. LOL!!!!

I have a friend that also carries her sewing machine or serger. She calls what they do "glamping". I can't think of anything particularly strange I carry - mainly because my trailer is so small. I do carry my hiking pole behind the toilet in the bathroom - it's out of the way there.

Joy... that's referred to as an "Iron". It's used to get wrinkles out of clothing required for those who still "Work". To facilitate the use and speed of "Iron-ing", it's also helpful to obtain it's companion, an "Ironing Board". One year and 4 months, both of those items become antiques of which I don't carry with me.

Not really strange but I am a gadget freak.
I carry a little electric compass for hiking and finding direction for aiming my TV's wingman and the XM antenna. Learned long ago when I rode horses all over state and national parks that a map of the area and a compass are still as valuable today as they were when this country was founded.

An RC-292 military antenna system, tunable to many of the amateur radio bands.
Maybe this year I will actually use it!
