We are getting our camper ready to headout Friday morning and I got to thinking I havent done anything to the slideout seal. Looked through the owners manual and couldnt find much info on how to care for the seal. What do you guys do and how often. Thanks, Steve

I have always cleaned mine every couple of years or so. Keeps me from having any problems with the slide room.

Get some 303 Protectant and apply a couple time a year. Keeps them soft, protects against UV rays and removes any dirt build-up. I do mine every 3 months or so.

PROTECT ALL makes a treatment for the seals and also a dry lube for the rails. Comes in handy spray cans. I use every few months.

I use Protectant 303 every 6 months and my RV is 9 years old and the seals are as good as the day I picked it up from the factory.

Keep an eye on how the seal is positioned when the slide is slid in sometimes the seal can become kinked and can have negative long term effects.
