I am sooooo tired of "lectures"...... if folks want to "speed" that's their business & they'll have to accept the consequences. When I tow my 5er I do 50 - 55 mph BUT when I drive when not towing .... I like to get there with "dispatch".... in other words if you are going to constantly creep along hitting your brake.. then accelerating... then hitting your brake (you get the picture) "Get the heck out of my way" !!! It's enough that we have an administration that likes to lecture the American public.

Pay close attention... I suspect there will be many who will insist speeding is important for safety, will have there engines chipped to overload the power train from one end to the other yet declare if someone is 5lbs over GVWR they are on a suicide mission.

I never tow above 60 mph and usually 2-3 mph below that. Driving without towing I rarely go faster than 60 even on interstates. The faster I go the faster I watch the needle on my gas gauge drop. I also find that I am less tired at the end of the day when I don't drive as fast. On a long trip, if you drive 8 hours and drive 10 mph faster, you're only 80 miles farther down the road. Not a big deal to me.

Laws, most of them anyway, are made to protect people that have absolutely no common sense. The rest of the population has to suffer because of it. I don't care how fast people drive. It brings in revenue. The unfortunate thing is when you see those white crosses along side the road you never know if that was a guy or gal with no common sense, or were they the victim of that person.

1. Everyone has the right to speed.
2. Everyone has the right to be pulled over by the Police.
3. Everyone has the right to receive a speeding ticket.

Some people have just been lucky and have not been caught.

Well said, and may I add, 'speed laws are for other people, not me.'
