I was reading another post about water damamge and this poster claimed that he had already filed two claims and was still only paying 135 a year.

I used state farm for years for house and all my vehicles (5) and i payed over 500 a year for full coverage for my camper. 2006 30 foot sprinter. I changed two years ago to GMAC and I average 470 per year and when I store it in November I call them and I usually get a check back for 70 to 80 bucks. I call them when I take it out of storage in April when I take it out and pay the 470 again.

I'm covered year round.

My question is what do you pay for insurance. and liability only if it is payed off?

I use Allied Insurance (Nationwide) and pay $200 a year for full coverage including total replacement value of the trailer and awning insurance.

It was purchased through Camping World when I bought the trailer from them.

My Weekend Warrior costs me around $180 per year. It is not an auto policy, I have full coverage of trailer and contents just like a homeowners policy. I have Nationwide insurance.

Cost of insurance has many variables including your record of claims, your states insurance regulations, your location/city, your credit score, the initial price, current value, and whether you keep your RV at home or in storage. I live in a suburb and the trailer is beside my garage.

Unfortunately insurance rates can't really be compared easily.

$1500.00 per year for the truck and trailer combined. I have no idea what the actual break down in. Both have full coverage but doubt if a simple roof leak from bad caulking would be covered by any policy unless it has some riders on it. That kind of thing is in the area of a HOMEOWNERS policy or service contract.
