I was told by a salesman that the Ovens on the units with both the convection microwave and oven also models come back on trade ins virtually unused ( the Gas oven). Most part timers and many full timers have no interest in using it. So i guess if you really use it your special .. in the minority that is. ;-)
My post's are my opinion The advice, comments etc are free and worth what you paid

In a year with over 12,000 miles and about a dozen trips, we've never used ours. We have an outside grill and the rest is microwaveable. Frankly I'd rather not have it. I'd prefer the space.

I think I would probably be happy with just the microwave/convection combo even though just about all our camping is without hookups. We do tend to do a lot of real cooking, but for me when camping that means the baked sorts of items are done in the dutch oven, even on those rainy days.

And no better way to bake a potato than wrapped n foil on the coals of an open fire.

I like my oven. When I'm not using it, I store my pans in it. We like dry camping and when it is cold, hot biscuits/bread is great. I've used the oven more than I've used the microwave.

Many new high dollar rigs only have two burners too.

We have the convection/microwave in our rig and no gas oven. Our last setup had the gas oven.
We find that 75% of the time the convection / microwave works. For the 25% of the time that it does not, we are either grilling or use a GE Electric toaster oven that we carry with us. We keep the toaster oven under the dining seat when traveling and will often take it outside the coach and plug it in to bake stuff.

Put me in the gas oven category.
I wouldn't have bought my rig without one and yes, we have used it several times while boondocking. No need to start the genny, just whip it up, put it in, and smell the brownies baking!!

It's change. Wife now loves the convection even installing one in our remolded kitchen.
