We are new to RV life style. We bought a 38 ft class A. Does any one have a system for keeping track of campgrounds. They are all getting muddled in our minds. Some we loved and would go back to, others not so much. I tried to find an ap for my iPad that would do this job. Is there one? Maybe an old fashioned scribbler, or file cards. Does any one have suggestions?
I have a folder on my PC titled "Camping". In one document titled "Campgrounds", I keep notes regarding many of the CG's we have visited. Some are good and we may someday return; others are not so good and we probably will not return. I also include information regarding the best sites, availability of water, bath house conditions, prices, etc. It works well for me.
Bought my travel partner a camping journal. Found it at my local RV parts store. She writes down the particulars for each place we've stayed. I get to track fuel, maintenance, and upgrades in my journal.
What I've also done is I upload a couple of images to a Picsas account which I can associate to a map. Let's the family know where we've been. Since the images are digital dated I don't have to worry about that.
I also make my Outlook calendar where we are going and since I don’t delete the entries it makes a historical list.

I use Effy's solution. It has worked for us well for the last 7+ years of fulltiming. I keep way too many records but: I can tell you exactly to the penny how much we spend per night at any type campground or membership parks. Excel is a great spreadsheet.
