I use Effy's solution. It has worked for us well for the last 7+ years of fulltiming. I keep way too many records but: I can tell you exactly to the penny how much we spend per night at any type campground or membership parks. Excel is a great spreadsheet.

X3 I have keep all my info on Excel

I put campsites we like in the Gamin, along with good restaurants.

Should have thought of that years ago

Many campgrounds give you a map of the park and directions to your site. We keep these in a scrapbook along with notes about our experience.

+1
I keep a 3 ring binder that I punch any CG maps and put them in. I also have paper in there that I can take notes on and file with the CG map. We don't cover that much ground when it comes to different CG's so it is easy to keep up with. While we are driving DW keeps notes in a small spiral notebook that stays in the truck.
When we get back from a trip all that will get scanned into the PC to keep electronically as well.

My wife keeps a log book of our travels. Leftmost column is date/time, then odometer reading, closest city/state, then a brief comment. If it is a fuel stop, comment includes gallons, cost. If it is a campground, a tourist spot, interesting people we meet along the way, or any notable event, she makes a descriptive comment, perhaps including a small sketch or a hand-drawn map.

This serves as a single data source for tracking mileage, repairs, campground reviews, etc.

Also, it is fun to just go back and read the log of an earlier trip, providing laughs and revitalizing memories of small, nearly forgotten, moments.

I like those hand-written, coffee-stained, dog-eared and smudged pages very much.

I do the same as SpinRite. I'm on our third journal. It is fun to go back and read.

The ultimate campground book looks really helpful. Is there a Mac version? I like that you can ad pictures. That would be good to trigger memories. We started full timing in Dec, and now that we are on the move I see a real need for a system. As a newbie to this life style appreciate all the help we can get.

I set up a FileMaker Pro database system, including parks, fuel, maintenance, repairs, upgrades, etc. excel would also work.

The vast majority of campgrounds have webpages.

Simply bookmark the webpages.

That way you also have a visual of the place to help jog your mind.
