Door County,Wis., is a very nice place to visit and enjoy. However, you will not find a campground that has direct access to a sandy beach and have full hookups. There are campgrounds that have direct access to beaches and there are campgrounds that have full hookup, but none that have both (at least not that I am aware of and we go there alot). Pennisula State Park is a very nice park and has great camping. Bailey's Harbor Campground is very nice and has nice big full hookup sites. Harbor Village is another nice campground that has a water park and small lake, but doesn't have sewer hookups. Just "google" Door county and you will find everthing you need to know.

We enjoyed Baileys Harbor stayed at Baileys Grove CG. Full Hookmups, pool, game room, but not on water. The water and downtown Baileys Harbor is only a couple blocks walk.
Very quaint part of the state. Do not expect to find big box retailers there. They have tried very hard (successfully) to keep that part of the state small town feel. Once you get NE of Sturgeon Bay, no big retail, just small town feel. End on May they have lighthouse tours, but only during one weekend. Check out Washington Island.

I THANK YOU ALL WHO REPLIED PLUS SEEING THE ERRORS IN MY REQUEST.
Wow!! I DIDN'T WRITE MY REQUEST FOR CANPING INFO FOR "DOOR COUNTY", WI. DID I????? SO HERE IS A REVISION. HERE GOES:
I am WANTING TO take my wife, daughter and two granddaughters to the Door COUNTY, WI for a vacation.
I AM HAVING "Problems" FINDING A CAMPGROUND THAT WILL SATIFY MY WIFE AND DAUGHTER. IT SEEMS AS THOUGH PARK PRESERVES AND GROUND SEWAGE RESTRICTIONS FOR THE AREA CAMPGROUNDS (WHICH I CAN UNDERSTAND) DOES RESTRICT CAMPGROUND SANITATION PROCEDURES. ANYWAY, I HAVE LISTED BELOW MY WIFE AND DAUGHTER REQUIREMENTS:
1. Wife will only stay "ONLY" at "full hook up" Campground SITE.
2. Daughter wants a sandy beach adjoining or very close by the campground. Really close by. SHE AND THE KIDS LOVE A BEACH AND SPEND HOURS THERE - NOT IN THE WATER BUT DOING SOMETHING THERE. I AM NOT A "BEACHIE" GUY SO I GO FISH OR BIKING.
3. The campground must have a pool for kids and daughter.
We live in Missouri and want to go somewhere closer to home than travelling all 5 of us in my truck to the sea coast.
If you have a CAMPGROUND suggestion PLEASE let me know.
AGAIN.., Thank you so much in advance.

OH, now I understand! I knew what you wanted as I think most others did too. there are a few obviously that didn`t think you knew what you wanted. fortunately, I see you`ve been a member since 02, so you know what to expect from all of us! LOL
I don't think you're going to be able to get all 3 of your requirements in one place, i.e. FHU, pool, and beach access. For my money Peninsula SP is the way to go, probably the best park in WI - but only a few sites with electric and no water or sewer. BUT - if you are in Nicolet Bay CG you can walk to the beach and Grandpa will have some of the best bike trails around plus fishing. Do you really have to have the hookups? There is water and a dump station readily available, and the shower & toilet buildings are pretty newly renovated and well maintained - but I guess we're more willing to rough it just a bit in order to get that "back to nature" environment. To each his own.
If you are at the resort above, you can get to beaches in Egg Harbor, Fish Creek, or the SP pretty quickly, maybe 5 minutes to Egg Harbor, 15 to the others - is that close enough? In any event, we love Door County and go every year, so maybe if you can get the crew to give a little on some of their demands you can all have a nice relaxing time while the son is serving us - and be sure to thank him for his sacrifices, we do appreciate it!!

We camped there and they have quote from website "Walking trails to Sand Bay Beach town park, a lovely shallow sandy beach that's great for kids; to Rowleys Bay Resort and their restaurant and Swedish bakery, to a public boat ramp and marina, and into the Mink River Nature Conservancy Preserve." Bakery is to die for.

Good post.
One thing the OP does not mention...how long do you plan on staying?
I was born and raised in Green Bay and frequented Door County all the time. If you want access to a beach it would be camping in Nicolet Bay in Peninsula State Park. Beautiful!!
If you want a pool then you will have to stay in one of the private CG's. With that you will have to travel, not far, to a beach. Nice thing about the location yo could go to a beach either on the Green Bay or Lake Michigan side. Nice choices to have as they are different...one side a little bit warmer, air and water, and the other side cooler.
Do you have to sit still in one CG during your stay? You may want to stay at one closer to Green Bay waters and the try the other side, Lake Michigan.
