Hooked up the toad today while getting it ready to take off for Ca tomorrow and discovered the left turn signal on the toad wasn't working, but the one on the MH was. Dis-connected it and the turn signal worked.Put a tester on the MH plug and it's good.Plugged the cable back in and tested the toad end and it still worked. Then I plugged it into the toad and nope,it didn't work.I didn't get a chance to check it at the tail-light end of the toad, but will when I get into the RV park tomorrow night

Most coaches have separate fuses for the connector at the hitch. Usually found in an outside run bay. Worth a look.

Is it a 6-pin connector. If so, the connector post for the left-turn signal in the toad socket could have been squeeze so that it won't make a connection.

You can spread the post with a small screwdriver. The post for the left turn signal is on the lower left as you face the socket, the one indicated in the picture.

Pulsar may have it right on target. This happens to me constantly. I use an X-acto knife to open up the pin(s).

If you're using diodes at the toad's tail lights to isolate the pigtail from the toads's electrical system then check the diodes. You may need to crimp the spade connector on the pigtail wire so that it fits snugly onto the diode.

I just went through the same problem. I kept blowing fuses in the motor home every time I hooked up my toad to the motor home. After hours of research I finally discovered that the 6-way plug on the toad had an internal dead short. After replacing the toad plug I'm in business. Good luck.

We had that problem last year. Spread the little prong connectors, cleaned the connectors, put dielectric grease on the connectors.... finally when everything else failed, I bought a new umbilical cable; problem solved.
