i covered mine for the first time since i owned it, since i was storing it an hour away.
it sat from Dec.-March and was as clean as i had left it.
especially the roof.
no tears in the ADCO cover but i had read a lot of tips on how to properly secure it.
i'm a big believer in doing it every winter, now.

We're of the "Cover" persuasion. Just seems like a relatively inexpensive insurance during the winter especially. Ours is stored under the ROOport at home 24/7, but even if the Adco is over-kill, we feel better. While not a terrible job to cover and uncover, it's not something we'd want to do every week or two. If you aren't going to camp for a month or more, it might be worth the job. We can put our Adco on in about 30 min, maybe a bit less. Uncovering is a snap unless you choose to carefully fold it, then takes more time.

We choose to cover ours. I just feel a little more confident as far as water damage during the winter months and helps minimize the UV fading and such as well. It's probably a 20 minute process to get it on, and if I wait for a slightly windy day, probably 5 minutes to get it off!!
I have covered mine, mainly to keep the snow out of the vents. This past winter the cover never got put for some reason, but we didn't get much snow either.
