Hi,

Dump often, rinse often. Use lots of water. I don't use chemicals in mine.

I"ve probably used everything that's on the market and really don't notice ANY difference from one to the other. I buy whatever is lowest price. If your waste water system is working correctly using plenty of water alone will prevent odor problems but adding chemical helps breakdown solids faster.

Probably the MOST important thing that will prevent odors in your tanks is to NOT dump too often. If you dump when black tank is LESS than about 2/3 full you risk leaving solids behind which will cause odors and eventually clogs. For the SAME reason, never leave the tank completely empty. There will ALWAYS be some remaining solids left after dumping and flushing your tank and if left dry these will turn to stone and be nearly impossible to EVER remove. Result can be odors and eventually clogs.

Good luck / Skip

First off, are you currently having issues with odors? Or are wanting to be prepared?

I recommend one of these- http://www.campingworld.com/shopping/item/cyclone-sewer-vent/31992. You can get one at Walmart and takes about 20 minutes to install. It really cut down on the amount of chemical we use.

You may want to consider The Geo Method.
