I have a 328QBS and have that same sticker. Been wondering about this very topic. Thanks for the info. Curious what size screws to use however?

Perfect!

Looks like the mount you used has the same mounting point with a different (and maybe better for this application) articulating arm.

What did you use for screws? Self tapping? Sheet metal?

thanks!

The kit came with 2.5 or 3 inch coarse screws. I used stainless 1.5 inch #10 screws (sheet metal). When I used the pilot drill, it went through the wallboard easy then hit what appeared to be metal as there was more resistance than wood would be. Once I was through that, ithe bit seemed to be in soft stuff again. Good luck & let me know if I can add more.

You probably hit an aluminum stud in the wall. The mounting location is directly below the junction box for power\cable in the ceiling, which would be screwed to a roof stud.

Are you sure?

If so, why do they put the sticker on the wall indicating the place to mount the TV bracket?

I put the mount right over the sticker. The area below the junction box is where the pocket door slides all the way to the sidewall. There is no way to put the TV mount there. See link to my pic.

No, I was referring to the sidewall not the pocket door frame. That wouldn't hold squat. If there is a metal plate behind the wall it's most likely then attached to a wall stud. I'm thinking the sticker is just in a convenient location, not too high and not too low for the screen up and down the stud.

I don't think it's a pocket door. I think it slides outside of the wall.

Your original post made it sound like you knew exactly what the deal was with this unit and the mount point.

Thanks

Sorry for the confusion. I'm still thinking you hit a wall stud. If you have a 'stud finder' you'll be able to find what you need. Good luck.

Forgive me if I'm wrong, but I assumed that if there was a sticker that said a particular location was for a TV mount, then there would be some sort of blocking or support behind that area to support the mount.
