I have an self point antenna on the roof of the coach that about 75% of the time when park it's view of the satellites is obstructed. To get around this I have an antenna on a tripod I set up and manually aim. I connect the ground antenna to the CG cable TV input on the side of the coach. At this point I have to pull the satellite receiver out of the cabinet, disconnect the roof antenna and connect the second antenna to the input of the receiver to regain satellite TV if I wish.
Is there away to avoid having to swap inputs to the receiver such as an electronic or manual switch that is compatible with the signal from the antenna and DC power being supplied by the receiver?
My receiver is a Dish VIP222K with two inputs but the second input is for the second TV for independent channel surfing, at least as I understand how it works.

My smart phone has a compass and before I park I get it out. I know where I live the dish needs to point southeast so I confirm I have line of site before I drop anchor.

You will need... (Fore each LNB in on your receiver(s) a short length of RG-6 cable 2-3 feet is more than enough
A low cost Antenna switch such as the RCH VH-71 (a buck at the Google store last time I googled "antenna switch")
A goes to the roof mount up above
B to the input in the side of the RV down Below
Remaing terminal to the LNB in on the receiver
Now.. With the switch in A hook up ground mount,, slide switch to B and if it's a DISH aim and check switch,, Direct RESET and aim.
When you go to unhook slide to A first (That way the receiver is not connected to the wires you are playing with, NO chance of a short)
It works, I do it. (Or did it)

If you intend to use cable at any time you will need 2 AB switches. I can send the wire diagram if you PM me.
May God bless your travels

Won't work. The sat receiver needs to pass both DC power and LNB switching commands to the antennas. The standard RV video distrubution switch blocks the signal.

I wondering if a DiSEqC 2 X 1 Switch will work. Both antennas have a SW21 in them to allow for multiple LNB configuration and to the receiver they are functionally the same. Since I'll only be using one or the other antenna and not both at the same time I think this might be a solution.

Make sure you get a switch that is capable of handling the satellite signal (High Isolation type). Many cheap, slider type, A-B switches will drastically degrade the signal or not pass it at all.
