A frequent several forums and they all have a nice feature where when you reply to a topic, it adds a little arrow or some other indicator to the topic icon that reminds you that you replied to the topic.
The icon I am talking about is this:
That one tells you there are new posts in the thread. But doesn't tell you if you posted in there.
This is a icon from a different forum that tells you there is a new post:
But this one tells you there is a new post AND you have replied to this topic:
Am I missing a setting or does this forum just not do it?

Ditto x2.
I think a lot of members do not know about this function. Which is why many do not ever reply back to their own questions.
Up under your name is where "My forums" is, click it and then click "my posts". Every topic you started and every topic you have replied to will be there.
This icon will be in black and white if no activity and turns yellow when there has been activity on the threads you participated in.
IMHO this forum has one of the best functions to follow your threads/posts.
"We must be willing to get rid of the life we've planned,
so as to have the life that is waiting for us".
At the bottom of the Reply Window are three options with a radio button next to each:
Do not subscribe
Subscribe, do not send Email notifications
Subscribe, send Email notifications of new posts
I have the second choice set up as a default in preferences. When I reply to a post, that thread is added to the threads in MY Forums. When I sign in the next time, the My Forums page is the first page that appears after sign in. If there have been new replies, the threads with the new replies will appear at the top of the list, with the number of new replies listed, along with the date and time of the most recent reply.
What one becomes accustomed to, usually is best for them. If I only looked at one sub-forum, then I might like an indication on each thread to which I posted better than what I've become accustomed to on this forum.
I have become accustomed to subscribing to the threads I post to, in several of the Open Roads Forum's sub-forums. I much prefer looking on the My Forums page to see if anything has been added to the threads I've posted in than having to go to each of the sub-forums to look.
The downside for an active poster, one needs to periodically delete from their subscription list.
