due to numerous recent medical issues for the DW, this year, we hadn't been able to go camping until this past week. normally we would've had at least 2-3 trips under our belt by now.

but was able to get 6 days at Carpinteria State Beach, just south of Santa Barbara, with the DW's favorite cousin and her family, from Washington.
they wanted to escape the rain and snow and we have been missing the beach.
had great weather and great times. our godson and his parents joined us for one nite.
here's some pics:

I'm so happy for you and especially that your DW is feeling well again. Your pictures are wonderful. What a beautiful place.

Hi Bikerdan,

I hope your wife will be hail and hearty for some time. I'm off in my RV on a work trip April 10th. It's almost a holiday in the RV for me!

I'm happy for you guys, and glad to hear your wife is doing great.
I'm sure you had a fun time with the family at the beach.
As for us in Maine.........another month of waiting.

Looks really nice! I haven't beach camped in about 25 years. Back when I was in the Navy and always near a coast. I'd really like to try it again some day. Those site look awfully close together though.

yea, in California, any camping that close to the beach, will be tight.
all campgrounds on the beach like that, will pack in as many sites as possible.
but this is one of the hardest campgrounds in California to get reservations, it's so popular, even in the off-season.

we had to make our reservations in December, for March. even then we couldn't get 5 nites in a row, for one site. luckily the person that had reserved our site the last 2 nites canceled so we were able to stay put.
